Is The Vampire Facial right for you?

To understand if the Vampire Facial is right for you, you need to answer these questions about yourself.

Do you notice any of the following signs of aging?

  • Crow’s feet
  • Dark circles around the eyes
  • Fine lines around the mouth
  • Dull, rough, or grey skin tone and texture
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Acne scarring
  • Crepey skin in the eye, neck, face or décolletage areas

If you are frustrated by any of these, the Vampire Facial could be a great treatment for you.  Scientists have always searched for ways to utilize our bodies ability to heal itself as a form of treating aging and scars.  The Vampire Facial is a testament to this research. Our blood contains platelets. Platelets are tiny blood cells that are important in the clotting process. As the clot is formed, the platelets release enzymes that promote healing and play a role in tissue regeneration by attracting stem cells to aid in the repair of a damaged area.  During the Vampire Facial, the patient’s own blood is drawn, treated, and then the platelet-rich plasma is injected into the patient’s face. Injections are made into strategic areas to encourage skin healing and renewal through new collagen production and fresh skin cells full of human growth factors. This increase in collagen and growth factors creates a more youthful, plumper, and firmer skin.

The Vampire Facial is now being offered at Allure Skincare & Lash. We have a certified registered nurse anesthetist on staff to properly and safely draw your blood, then spin it in a centrifuge to separate the platelet rich plasma. We then use a numbing cream to make you as comfortable as possible before using Microneedling to inject the plasma back into the area to be treated. Microneedling is a device that contains a cluster of micro needles moving at a very rapid rate, creating microscopic wounds in the skin. This allows the plasma to penetrate the deepest layers of your skin to encourage the new cell growth.  There is little to no downtime with the Vampire Facial, and patients can begin to see results in as little as a few weeks.
